Sekhmet
5 years Female Doberman Pinscher Recluse Bisexual |
Poised to carry oneself with a graceful and elegant bearing. | Calculating to act in a scheming and ruthlessly determined manner. | Reticent inclined to be silent or reserved in speech; careful with words. | Unforgiving not disposed to forgive or show mercy |
Appearance
Sekhmet is a classic beauty; the physical embodiment of a well-bred Doberman. She is predominantly a glossy, sleek black, with very short fur. Her muzzle, chest, and legs are a cinnamon-brown hue, and just above her eyes are twin points of this same shade, which make her facial expressions very distinct. She has a narrow muzzle and pointed features, with steady brown eyes and ears that fold in on themselves. She has broad shoulders that taper down into narrow hips - a figure meant for sudden bursts of action - and her lithe form is riddled in scars, pale from age.
Personality
||POISED||
to carry oneself with a graceful and elegant bearing.
Sekhmet is a very calm individual, not prone to sudden outbursts of feeling. She is careful in what she reveals to others, and every visible emotion is intentional. If she is pleased with someone, she will grace the individual with a smile, and if she is angered, she will offer warning by way of a glare or silent snarl. When she moves, it is with an unconventional sort of grace - she goes for efficiency, and does not like wasting energy on theatrics or the like, which plays a large part in her fighting style.
||CALCULATING||
to act in a scheming and ruthlessly determined manner.
Sekhmet is constantly observing what's going on around her, taking in information like a sponge and twisting it so that it might benefit her and, at times, others. She enjoys the security that comes with a solid plan, and thus will calculate various moves in any situation, be it hunting, fighting, or even conversation. She rarely lets her guard down with anyone, as to reveal her true thoughts and feelings without censor would be a vulnerability she does not offer easily.
||RETICENT||
inclined to be silent or reserved in speech; careful with words.
Every word that leaves this dog's mouth is considered beforehand. She doesn't believe that silence should be filled with meaningless drivel, and as she doesn't have a feel for things being awkward, is often content to sit in silence. Her tone is low and soothing, and for her to raise her voice is a rare occasion indeed.
||UNFORGIVING||
not disposed to forgive or show mercy
Though she is usually a very composed individual, when Sekhmet's anger is aroused there is very little one can do or say to curb her opinion or actions. She has no qualms against aiming to hurt with both words and fangs - and often will not stop until the object of her displeasure is left a bloody mess. She is merciless to those who oppose her, and has no patience for those of lesser rank trying to get uppity. Do not mistake this she-dog's composure for consent.
History
Sekhmet was born to two Pinschers: Anuket and Horus. Both had been a part of a pack made up exclusively of Doberman, and as the first two alphas from many years ago had been bred by an Egyptian couple, it was a longstanding tradition in the pack to take an Egyptian name. Though this pack had long fallen apart due to hardship, Sekhmet's father was insistent on keeping the tradition, thus she was named as she is: her name means Powerful One. As a pup, she would always listen to her father go on about blood purity and lineage and how power brought prestige, and to be prestigious was to be powerful. Her pride in her own breed grew, but her mother had always been more accepting towards other creatures. Her father eventually left them due to a clash in interests, and as Sekhmet had not yet been weaned off milk, she had to go with her mother.
Her mother joined an unofficial pack of mutts, since she did not want to have to hunt and feed Sekhmet all on her own. They were of mixed breeds, wolf-dogs and hyenas and some who did not even know what they were. After all her father had told her, this absolutely appalled the young Doberman. This pack would always preach that blood didn't matter, and that strength wasn't everything...Sekhmet was determined to prove them wrong. The two years she spent with that pack of misfits was spent training; she would constantly challenge those equal and above her in rank. Though at first these fights did not go well - and she has the scars to show for it - she eventually learned. Learned how to go for tender spots, like eyes and joints and ears. Learned how to fight dirty, how to scrape dirt into her opponents eyes so that they're blinded. They soon learned that she was not to be looked down upon, as she was further above their station by grace of pedigree alone. That she could back this claim up was all the better.
Nowadays she is a tad more tolerant towards mixed breeds, so long as they show the proper respect. Though she will always be locked in the mindset that a pure breed is worth more than a mixed, she respects strength as well, and will tolerate a mixed canine so long as they're competent.
