Nova is a dalmatian dog, medium sized and muscular. Her body is well defined with short, white fur. Across her white fur are a series of black spots, the majority of them are visible on her muzzle and back. Nova has a very noticeable spot on her right shoulder, which is completely covered black patch of fur. As well, her ears are completely black, and her nose is too. Besides her black and white look, Nova's best feature are her eyes. Surrounded by black spots, they stick out against the rest of her. In addition, they are different colors, her right eye being an ice blue and her left eye being a hazel brown. In addition to her looks, Nova is well-built. She weights roughly 45 pounds and stands at 23 inches, which is considered larger for her gender and breed. Additionally, Nova has very low fertility and has trouble producing live offspring.

Nova is a complex character. However. those who know her are sure to see all her good and bad traits. Firstly, Nova is an active dog, loving to run and adventure, and courageous, not being one to 'chicken out.' She also takes pride in being decisive and knowing what she wants. She carries these traits with a suave attitude, showing confidence and a sense of pride in herself.
She is also an ambitious dog, wanting the best for herself. This ambition comes at a price for Nova though, she is rather political, liking to be on the winning side of any confrontation. However, Nova is extremely self-critical because of incidences from her past that she blames herself for and carries in her current day life. Aside from that, she is stern to herself and others, mainly in her voice. Another prominent trait is that Nova is nonreligious, not caring for any religion, whether or not others worship anything, she relies on what her eyes see.
Nova's negative traits are rather drastic from her other traits. Firstly, she is amoral and cruel, not caring much for pleas of mercy or anything otherwise. Her views are also dogmatic, she thinks what she does it right, and it would take one hell of an argument to sway her. Lastly, Nova is transparent. While she tries not to, it is of no use; her emotions are easily seen by others, from anger to sadness to being bored.

Nova was born in a litter of three, herself and two brothers. Her life as a pup was rather normal with nothing of great significance to her. The three siblings were born into the Recluse pack and grew up with their traditions and ideals. While Nova was smaller than her brothers at the time, she managed to hold her own against them, often having to defend her meals from the two hungry boys, giving her a need to protect what she thought was important to her.
As she grew, Nova caught up to her brothers in size and strength, growing stronger as they were taught how to survive by their parents and others in the pack. The three siblings were struck with grief when their mother suddenly died from unknown causes, leaving their father a wreck at his old age and the three without a mother. Nova tried to conceal her hurt to no avail while her brothers seemed to lock the feeling away in their hearts and never spoke of it.
Nova's life became complicated when she met a male one day while exploring the territory. The male was in the same pack as she and was dashing to Nova. Quickly to two fell in love and wished to become mates. However, after many times together, Nova failed to produce pups. Whether she failed to conceive at all or had a still-born litter, the two could not have pups. Their relationship became tense after some time, with frequent fights over the matter, some almost ending in violence. One day, the male broke their mate-ship off, the pair no longer being together. Once again Nova was left with grief over losing her lover, and being unable to have pups. She blamed herself for the problems of the relationship and would crawl back to her brothers, seeking comfort. However, only one would comfort her, while the other was off chasing some lass and climbing ranks.
Years have passed for Nova and she refused to take another mate, and has tried to turn her feelings cold, focusing on her place in the pack, distracting herself from any problems there may be for her.
